Fairly clean, golden-amber colour with a big creamy, light-beige head, long lasting and leaving thick creamy-foamy lacing. Aromas of good cereal malts giving the grain, some fruitiness, roastiness, all blended with some grassiness, deep greens. The taste shows the deep-greenness with some herbs, mild fruity notes and good cereal-grains. A tad caramel comes out in the nose eventually. Very nice dryness building in the finish. Quite a nice Pale Ale, with a lot going on.

A nice reddish copper ale with a thin white head. A beautiful aroma of green fresh hops, pinhey and pleasant, very discreet and British, some grassy notes. In mouth, a good nutty toasted malt with some nice herbaceous hops, murky, a bit too thin but well done. Bottle 4.69$ at Jovi, Made in Feb. 2009.

Bouteille 500ml. De couleur ambrée-cuivrée et voilée. Nez de houblon résineux, légèrement herbeux et aux notes terreuses, malté de caramel avec des notes de toffee et moyennement fruité (agrumes, traces d’abricots). Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture très légèrement crémeuse avec de faibles notes résineuses. Goût moyennement amer de houblon résineux et aux notes citriques de pamplemousse (une amertume présente toute la gorgée) accompagné d’un léger-moyen goût de levures fruitées (agrumes, faibles notes d’abricots, traces de pêche) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût malté de caramel doux avec des notes de grains frais, de pain et des traces de toffee puis en finale l’amertume de houblon reprend le dessus en se faisant plus asséchante et légèrement herbeuse (herbes humides, faibles traces de thé). Post-goût moyen et légèrement sec, moyennement amer de houblon résineux, légèrement herbeux et aux notes citriques avec un léger goût fruité (pelures d’abricots).

Bottle: Poured a deep hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with light toffee. Taste is also dominated by some caramel malt with light toffee notes and a dry finish that is not as hoppy as I had expected. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Well done for style that is not the most exciting.
