Ça semblait prometteur mais je trouve que la mousse faisait un étrange collet et qu’il manquait d’équilibre dans l’arrière-goût. Elle a du potentiel mais il y a place à raffinement...

Tasted in November 2011. Aroma: Citrus notes coming up first, followed by grass and flower. Pretty complex nose. Appearance: Thick off white head with a mix of tiny and big bubbles. Long lasting with a nice lacing. Taste: Attack is very hoppy and bitterness is mainly of grass and flowers with a touch of orange. Finish is a bit malty with a long lasting citrus aftertaste. A real good IPA

Bottle: Poured a deep orangey amber color ale with a nice huge foamy had with excellent retention and some very good lacing. Aroma of floral citrus hoppy notes are quiet pleasant. Taste is a nice mix between some semi-sweet malt base which are well balanced against some floral citrus notes and a bitter finish. Body is quite with limited filtration and good bottle conditioning and great carbonation. Nicely done and other winner from this brewery who just keep doing a good impression on me.

Bouteille 500ml. De couleur dorée-ambrée et voilée. Nez fruité (agrumes sucrées, moyen d’abricots, notes de fruits tropicaux), de houblon floral, moyennement herbeux (herbes fraîches), légèrement citrique (pamplemousse doux) et aux petites traces résineuses, léger de caramel sucré et de grains de malt fraisavec des notes de pain blanc. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture aux notes huileuses, crémeuses et résineuses. Goût fruité (agrumes, notes de fruits tropicaux, traces d’abricots) accompagné d’une moyenne amertume de houblon floral et légèrement citrique (pamplemousse très doux, une amertume présente en arrière-goût toute la gorgée) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de grains de malt frais et légèrement sucrés, un léger-moyen goût de caramel doux avec des notes de pain blanc puis en finale l’amertume de houblon revient en avant-plan en affichant un caractère herbeux (herbes fraîches) et aux notes résineuses asséchantes. Post-goût long et aux notes sèches, moyennement amert de houblon herbeux, légèrement citrique aux notes florales et résineuses ainsi qu’un moyen goût fruité (zeste d’agrumes).

An amber IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, chunky caramel malt with typical Frontenac chalky signature. In mouth, a rather malty and mineral IPA with British hops, medium bodied. OK but I like them more floral than this.
