Hazy yellow pour, light citruc aroma, more sour yeast. Flavor was muddled by a sour yeasty wheaty flavor, with an odd metallic i wasnt expecting. Jesus, how old os this keg?!

On tap at Saint-Bock. Penitente Blanche epicees 5% A cloudy gold with a big spicy nose(coriander/fennel), soft body, wheat and tons of spices but fairly well balanced makes it a middle of the road witbier.

Dégustée en fût sur place. De couleur ambrée-dorée et voilée. Nez de levures fruitées (agrumes, surtout citron, traces de pêches) aux notes épicées (notes de coriandre et de gingembre, traces de poivre), léger de blé avec des traces de miel. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-fort ainsi qu’une texture très légèrement crémeuse. Goût de levures fruitées (agrumes, surtout citron) et léger-moyen épicé (coriandre, traces de gingembre) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un moyen goût de blé avec de faibles notes de pain mouillé puis en finale l’on retrouve des notes amères de houblon herbeux (notes d’herbes mouillées, traces de foin) avec un léger regain d’épices (notes de poivre doux). Post-goût moyen composé d’un léger goût de blé et de levures fruitées (zest d’agrumes) avec des petites notes herbeuses. (printemps 2007)

Draft: Poured a very light amber color ale with a tiny head with no retention and no lacing. Aroma of light spices with not much else noticeable. Taste is also dominated by light spices notes with limited character. Body is way too thin for style with average carbonation. Extremely boring with limited character, not enough spices and thin body.
