Okay foam on a murky brown body, smells of soft boozy licorice, hints of nail polish remover. Flavour is muddy licorice, molasses, chocolate syrup. Full mouthfeel but there's a lingering booziness. It's not too bad but a little heavy handed for the style.

650 ml bottle. 2020 Cellar Series (Taproom Series). 9% Pours a dark brow with full head. Aromas of soft oaky whiskey, grainy malts and dark fruit. Flavors follow same additional sweet bready malts and with thin whiskey being prominent. Alcohol finish. OK

Bottle from the brewery; 2019 Cellar Series
Dark brown colour, near black in the glass, with large brownish head, persistent. The aroma is rather mild, dark malts, cocoa, a hint of dark fruits and brandy, infinitesimal smoke. The mouthfeel is smooth, it's moderately sweet; brown sugar, caramel, light cocoa; not enough malt depth, indeed the final is rather weak; difficult to guess any vanilla or whiskey, although there is a bit of spirit.
Decent, totally noth worth the $12 though.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out lots of fruity esters, a touch of vanilla, light molasses, and Belgian yeast. Flavour is full of molasses, vanilla, some nice holiday spiciness, and gently dark fruits. Lots of molasses, dark fruits and just enough estery character. Rich, robust palate, with a lot of depth. Surprisingly good.

Subtle bourbon accent, lots of dark malts, raisins, restrained esters. The aroma is a bit off putting, harsh/husky. But tastes pretty good.
