It was prepared by macerating merged three varieties of malts, hops abundant additions from different regions of Europe. The result is a golden beer intense, moderate bitterness and aroma fresh citrus aromas accented notes of caramel from the malts. 330ml bottle and my first South American rate. Dark gold, small white semi-fizzy head, moderate retention. Aroma of hay, light citrus, cardboard. Taste is caramel, citrus, stewed veg, mild bitterness, light to moderate body, decent carbonation. This is a bit of a cross between a lager and a golden ale. Its fine but not great.

[33cl bottle at Las Iguanas at the O2] A bright amber pour with a tight white head; grassy aroma; caramel taste. Fine with spicy food.

Bottle at Last Iguanas, Reading. Dull gold with a white head and a middling fizz. Lightly grassy with a hint of lemon and a lot of cardboard. Dry finish. A passable imitation of an industrial lager - whether the brewer intended that is another matter!

Keg at Elveden Inn, Suffolk. Vague musty aroma. Tarnished gold. Thin bubbly white head. Bitter sour. Very citric. Underlying sweetness. Marmalade. Develops an almost cider edge. Light. Watery. Lively carbonation. Long finish. Enjoyable. Went down well. Good fruity beer.

W zapachu spruchniale wilgotne drewno. Smak karmelowy z nutami drzewnymi. Sprawialo wrazenie jakby lezakowalo w debowej beczce. Ale w tym stylu to nie za bardzo. Chile juz lepsze wina robi niz piwa. Moja ocena to naciagana trojka z plusem.

350ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Hazy orange colour with a small off-white head. Aroma: fruity sweet malt, caramel, hops, grapefruit, peach. Taste: fruity malt, grapefruit, peach, caramel, citrus. Soft carbonation, medium body, low bitterness. Nothing special, somewhere around average, though like some other Rothhammer beers it veers from the typical style somewhat.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of Storm. Pours an almost clear orangey brown with a beige head. Sweet and tart dark dried fruit in the nose. Medium body, sweet dark fruits, a little roast and a whiff of yeast. Vague licorice notes as well. Very subdued bitterness. Style-wise this is hard to pinpoint, but it sure ain’t a Golden Ale. 191111
