Barrel-aged Molten Double Chocolate Fudge Cake Supreme
We put double the amount of cocoa nibs per litre than we’ve ever used on any of our beers before, added a touch of fudge and stuffed it into a big, fat imperial stout that we’ve been aging in bourbon barrels for over a year. If you melted down the world’s most chocolate-y cake and made a beer of it, it would probably taste something like this… but with a very sensible 12.1% ABV.

Canned, 330 ml shared with Miro B, Max and kajser27. Black with small tan head. Malty, chocolate, cocoa, roasted, sweet, bitterish finish. Smooth. Medium to full bodied.

Thick, creamy. Super rich chocolate, sweet and decadent. A bit of biscuit, could pass for a cake I guess. Smooth, some vanilla in the back, together with some alcohol bite. Aftertaste is pure cacao powder. Excellent.

Can. It's a lightly oily black beer with a minimal sized head. The aroma has loads of heavy dark chocolate cake batter and a good dash of bourbon, with caramel, vanilla, brown sugar and a touch of marshmallow. It's full-bodied and warming, sort of oily, with a soft carbonation. Rather sweet, with brown sugar, toffee, raisin, bourbon, dark chocolate and some vanilla in the flavor. Lasting finish with lots of sweetness and flavor. A heavy one indeed, tasteful too, probably not a beer to finish alone. 201122

Pours black with a very short lasting tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla and oak. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, bourbon and oaky finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat

8-4-7-4-15 Can, one month after canning. Pours opaque maroon, with a short lived creamy mocha head. Aroma is dark malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, molasses and notes of coconuts, as well as tannins, wooden minerals and bourbon barrels. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts, with bitter notes of rye bread, cocoa nibs, herbal spices and muscovado, as well as vanilla, tannins and bourbon barrels. Nice sweetish mineraly finish.
