Can split at the first Canary Wharf / Westferry Circus tasting in 2.25 years ... who knew back then ... thanks to LKS, 09/06/22. Deep mahogany brown with a decent tan covering. Nose is earthy roast, chocolate, umami, spice, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises dark malts, spice, toffee, raisins, charr, chocolate, molasses. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a spike of booze. Decent enough straight up impy stout if perhaps lacking a little depth of flavour.

Can shared in London - picked up from online. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Medium sweet flavour, bit metallic, ashy, cocoa, raisin. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, more metal. Alright.

Bottle shared at Welcome back to DS Tasting. Thanks to Leighton forthis one. A jet black colourd pour with a dark tan head. Aroma is semi sweet sweet mashmallow, , milky marshmallow, brown sugars, woody. light green veg. Palate is semi sweet, oily, moderate carbonation. Flavour is composed of oily, oily, moderate carbonation, raspberry chocolate. Good.

Can from Deconinck. Cloudy black, thin, dark beige head. Aroma of marshmallow, fondant sauce, meringue, toasted coconut, coffee liqueur, mocha, brownie. Taste has sweet prune & fig in a thick chocolatey malt body with notes of cream, vanilla & coconut, some sugary marshmallow too. Herbal hoppy finish, touch of bitter coffee but all restrained, lingering sweetened fondant and warming coconut liqueur alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Good for once but a bit too sweet and artificial.

Can. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is cereals, cocoa, coffee, grainy. Taste is sweet chocolate, mildly smoky, popcorn, coffee. A bit on the sweet side. Fizzy carbonation. Not bad, but a bit too sweet and it has some weird character.

Can. Darkest brown to black, dark brown cream. Cocoa, coffee, dark sugar. Medium body, powdered sugar, popcorn, cinnamon, cocoa, very sweet. Chocolate spun sugar finish

Can at home. Black coloured, thick, oily. Nose is vanilla, marshmallow. Fl is roasted malts, marshmallow, vanilla, coconut 🥥. Slightly bitter, fairly sweet, perhaps a bit cloying.
