Bottle from vandeStreek. Aroma is heavy on the barrel with peated whisky, oak, roasted malt, ash, smoke, alcohol, notes of dark fruits. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a hint of tartness. Body is medium, feels thin for the aroma. Not bad, not smooth either, bit sharp and thin.

Bottle donated by friend, many thanks Miso K. Very dark brown color with medium beige head. First impression in aroma is peated whiskey, than coconut from barrell, light fruity note sin finish. Taste is dark malt, prunes, licorice, plum jam, apples, peat, coconuts. Hs are not present at all, which is understandable. More on sweet side as wuol wish, still highly enjoyable beer. Alcohol is dangerously hidden. Nice sipper.

On tap. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of whisky, black coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malts. Up front whisky blast settles to espresso, powdery dark chocolate, and clean roasted malts. Quite nice

Black with a thin dense beige head. Very present Scotch aroma along with roasted malts. Sweet taste with a sweet peated finish. The whisky barreling seems to overpower the base beer significantly but the end product still is more than decent.

Zwart bier met weinig bruin schuim. Smaak is warm, krachtig en bitter met iets van koffie, wat rook, geroosterd graan en een duidelijke whiskey bijsmaak. Toppie!

Turf, dun/waterig, geroosterd, eikenhout, medicinaal en dat gekke zuurtje is wat onaangenaam, verder veel band-aid/pleisters, ook wat groene appels Cees W. 😜

33cl Fles van vdS webshop. Zwart, beige kraag. Groene appels, spiritus, oud hout, gebrande mout, inkt, wat turf, chocolade, stroop, vrij heftig allemaal, weinig balans en de groene appels doen ook weinig goeds. Toch in zekere mate genietbaar. Medium tot volle body.

Boozy en waterig. Vandestreek is lekker aan het experimenteren maar heeft nog veel te leren op het gebied van barreling.

Pours black small tanned head, very stable. Smell is sharp, roasted, oats, whiskey, bit booze. Mild, almost peaty aroma. Taste is full, bit peated, roasty, bit alcohol. Mild oak.
