Cask, special. Brewed for Wetherspoon 2013 Spring Real Ale Festival.
This pale ale uses a blend of English and American hops, resulting in ripe, tangy fruit flavours on a bed of malt, with hints of lime and lemongrass and a bittersweet finish.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW - London. Pours clear gold with a tight, creamy off-white head. Has a fairly inviting aroma of tangerine and orange. Flavor not nearly as nice though not bad. Some mild pale malt sweetness, bitter hay and citrus rind, some dry grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Fair condition. Light dry hay bitterness to fin, very faintly resinous, some minerals, low sweetness, more citrus rind. Pretty run-of-the-mill stuff.

The Playhouse Spoons, Colchester. Clear amber beer, little pale cream coloured head. Palate is light, fresh and crispy. Light and well balanced. Mild pale malt, reasonable citric hops, orange - grapefruit. Semi dry finish. Super drinkable. My 3rd vanished in seconds. Nice one sheps!

Cask at the Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. Straw with a thin white head; fruity aroma; fruity, lip-smacking, citrus taste; then a dry, reasonably bitter finish. Rather plain and ordinary.
