14th September 2020, Shrewsbury Beer Share gathering with Syrian Supper in Chez Sophie, five in attendance. Cheers Paul for the 330ml bottle of this. Clear amber body, wispy white head. Boozy and lovely, Bourbon esters and flavours come through nicely without ruining the base beer (which sometimes happens in my opinion).

330ml bottle @ Syrian Supper tasting, Chez Sophie Sep 20. Dark hazy brown appearance, minimal head. Aroma provides a nice bourbon introduction, good fruity nuances to taste with lovely bourbon on the finish blossoming into a comforting bourbon vanilla linger. Very nice.

Tasting at Salesforce, bottle
Amber colour, slight haze, almost no head. Sweet, a bit oily, caramel and fudge flavour, with evident alcohol and balanced bitterness; a quite typical wheat wine profile, well made, just the style is hardly exciting.

330mL bottle, pours a clear copper amber with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with bourbon barrels, followed by a bit of toffee, and some brown sugar. Flavour is very sweet, with lots of treacle, intense sweetness, boozy bourbon, and caramel apple. Lots of caramel, booze, and sweetness. Could be better integrated and better balanced, but it's pretty nice.

18th January 2020
Almost clear amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth light palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts. There is a great and well integrated blend of creamy caramel malts and coconut vanilla fruity bourbon here. A little tingling spice. Smooth finish. Just a very good ba barleywine. Perhaps more of a bourbon delivery mechanism, but that’s a-ok with me.
