Can courtesy of Leighton. Cheers commander. Sits nearly black. Slim and sticky beige foam. Light nutty roast. Vine fruit. Touch of bitter chocolate. Taste is semi sweet with nutty ashy bitterness. Smooth and creamy on the palate. Stays mighty drinkable though. Light vinous bitterness to close. Lovely.

Can at the house on Martha’s Vineyard. Pours clear, deep brown with a small, creamy tan head. Delicious beer, lightly sweet, a bit of ashy roast, nips of cocoa, smoke, molasses, earth, burnt biscuits. Light bodied with average carbonation. Balanced finish, more ashy roast, burnt toast, earth. Excellent.

Can thanks to Anthony. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa and licorice. Slick body, cocoa, dark fruit, light dry finish, very good.

Can from the brewery. It pours darkest brown to black with a nice dark tan / brown head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, charred oak, umami, rich roasted coffee, cacao nibs / dark chocolate, fairly subtle sweetness which underpins everything, molasses and rocky road. The taste is dry, rich roasted malt, pleasing bitterness which lingers, toothy bite, premium dark chocolate, cacao nibs, dark roasted coffee, charred pine, touch of tannin, only a touch of sweetness in the malt base, malt loaf and hitn of rocky road with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Very well crafted stuff. Good depth and high drinkability. Balanced. Classy.

16 oz can from Half Time, 4.1.22. Happy Rauchbier day to all who celebrate! Canned 1.19.22. Drink by 6.18.22. Pours a darker brown color with a light brown head. Roasty and grainy. Dark chocolate. A bit nutty and slightly herbal. Drinks clean and light, but not thin. Boat load of flavor in a crushable and small ABV package.

473ml can @ Harlem Hops, NY. Smooth, crisp and slightly roasty with some earthiness, hints of chocolate, coffee, hops and bready notes. Quite balanced and complex for a 4.4 ABV dark lager. Tasty.
