We wanted to brew a new beer with our loyal customers in mind during the coronavirus pandemic. We chose an IPA with some hop varieties quite new to us so we took azacca for its pungent tropical fruit characteristics and sabro because of its unique coconut and tangerine flavours. A hefty amount of wheat in the malt bill provides a solid body and fermentation on our fruity yeast adds its own stone fruit esters to round off this delicious IPA.

Tap at the Evening Star, Brighton 03/08/2023 Definitely getting the sabro over the azzaca here, sweet shop pineapple cubes, light dusting of coconut flakes, some passionfruit, sweet malty backing, medium body, robust bitter edged hoppy close, good stuff.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Misty golden orange appearance, white head. Sticky tropical fruit resin on the nose. Interesting spiky fruity stuff with marmalade, sweet malt and tropical grapefruit citrus coming to mind. Not bad.

On tap at Crafty Duck, Hertford on 12th September 2020. Hazy amber with shallow off-white foam and scant lacing. Tropical fruits aroma. Rich fruitiness in-mouth with peppery spice and nutty malt. A fiery finish of nutty, peppery spices and citrus zest. An engaging texture and plenty of body. A beer with real bite.

Can from Westbourne Wines, Bournemouth. Aroma of stonefruit with underlying resin. Hazy soft orange. Thick foamy white head. Ooh... medium-heavy bitter... spice (or should that be, herb)... resin... pine. Hints of underlying sweetness. It pops. Light-medium bodied. Slick if thin. Prickly average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Juicy and resinous for yer summer.
