Keg at Cloisters. Light hazy dark gold with a thin white head. Spice and sour nose. Taste is heavy on the anise, light gingery heat, sour fruity tang. Interesting.

Keg @ Bailey Head, Oswestry. Unclear dirty amber, no head remaining. Aroma of ginger, spice. Taste hits the root beer profile well, quite spicy, sweet, not especially sour, a little watery, thin and drying on the close. Got it to try out of curiousity, but wouldn't rush to revisit.

Can. Light haze on this deep gold beer, short lived peachy colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry and has a good fine crispness. Nice mildly tart root beer vibe here, obvious licorice that tastes like it might of been 5 to 10% Danish salty licorice. Nice smorgasbord of generic fruity tartness backing it up. Another good example of a tasty pop having a lot of its sugar supplanted with a light tartness. Good flavour, amusing and very drinkable. Beer should be fun and this is, so don't get all beardy serious on it!

Nose has some ginger and christmas spices. Taste has some ginger, various spices, booze. Starts sweet but turns into sour and a bit tart. A bit musty and funky. Weird.

Keg @ Beer Hawk Trinity, Leeds. Deeper amber with a small head. It's gritty and towards aniseed in its sourness. Has both a sugared sweetness in both aroma and taste with a carbonation.
