Bottle @ Hopstore. Clear, deep amber/brown body under a small, lacing light beige head. Aroma has toffee and some ripe fruits. Taste is sweet malt, toffee, brown sugar, yeast and ripe fruit. Moderate bitterness. Balanced body with a bit short aftertaste. Decent and food friendly.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a tulip glass. Clear deep ruby brown colour, tall moussy off-white head, dissipating slowly, almost no lacing. Aroma toasted malts, caramel, light citrus, sugar syrup, some molasses. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, caramel, some molasses and liquorice, light spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, bit prickly mouthfeel, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, some coffee groundings, spicy notes, not really your typical dubbel, more like a mild strong ale, nice but not that impressive.

330ml bottle from Chope n Shop, Hazebrouck. Drunk watching a documentary about a baptism in that rock church in Ethiopia. Hazed deep brown, foamy off-white head. Aroma of maltloaf, continuing to taste with a grainy, malty character overall. Expected a Belgian influence somewhere, and something a little more exciting going on, but for what it is it's ok.
