Bottle shared by Layla & Shane at the November P.S. tasting, 11/11/24. Clear gold, thin white head, average retention. Aroma of bready malt, yeast, peppery, green, and vinous hops. Taste is Green, dank hops, bready malt, hint of spice. The hops dominate. Okay.

Slight haze, pale. Medium head. Medium body, really bretty, almost toasty note, light fruitiness. Really nice complexity on this.

Dry-hopped saison, a recent addition to the range of this Texan farmhouse ale king's range. Snow white, irregular, medium thick, dot-lacing, slowly breaking but generally stable head on a misty pale straw blonde beer with greenish tinge and visible sparkling. Aroma of freshly cut green apples, fresh chervil, spice bread, grapefruit peel and even grapefruit juice, lemon thyme, unripe pear, dry white wine somewhere, lime zest, old Graham crackers. Crisp, tart onset, lots of green apple but also early hints of grapefruit and unripe mandarin, some pear and cucumber, medium fizz, supple body; slick bready core dried by fruity lactic sourness in a mellowish way, lime- and green gooseberry-like, pleasantly measured against a zesty hoppiness, adding a herbal (thyme, chervil) and very citrusy (pomelo, lime peel) aroma and softly spicy end bitterness, further accentuating the dry effect and matching well with this 'green-fruity' tartness. Dry, quenching, elegantly hoppy and gently sour ale, one to chug down in large quantities (if these Jester King bottles were not so expensive here in Europe...). Nice!

75cl bottle at Belgian Beergeeks/Brewver summer tasting at Tim's house. Thanks Bjorn. Batch# 2.
Bottled 12/2020 ?

29/III/22 - 75cl bottle from bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte), shared @ Syntra Zythologie class, BB: n/a, batch #2 (2022-288)

Clear light blond beer, big creamy white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sourish impression, some floral notes, fruity, pears and green apples, spicy touch, a little funky, some oranges, very complex and pleasant smell. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: soft acidity, very fruity, yeast touch, citrus notes, a bit herbal, zesty, spritzy, dry and a bit earthy even. Aftertaste: still pretty fruity, kaki fruit, rather dry, some more apples and pears, some autolyse, dead yeast, herbal finish.

75cl bottle from sophiesbeerstore.co.uk on a baking hot Summers evening. Lovely floral sherbetty sweet wild nose. Taste presents a somewhat laid back wild character, not particularly vibrant but still has nice sherbetty wild nuances.. soft and exceptionally easy drinking, though it is hard to detect the hop presence. Some interesting Simcoe and Loral shades would've been welcome. Pleasant summery sipper, but would've welcomed a little more bite.
