Keg at Beavertown, 29/11/14. Pitch black with moderate tan spotting that soon clears to nothing. Nose is rich dark fruits, spice, liqourice, dark toffee, treacle, herbal. Taste comprises woody licks, light bourbon, raspberry licks, chocolate, earthy, dark berries, spice, light charr. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid.

Tap@Beavertown Brewery taproom - black pour with no discernible head. Roasted malty aroma and taste, chocolate, nutty, caramel, molasses, dark berry and dried fruity, wooden oak nuance on the palate, lovely.

Keg at Beavertown Brewery, Tottenham, London. A black coloured pour with virtually no head. Rich roasty, malty, chocolate, dark fruit aroma. Tastes similar, rich, roasty, malty, chocolate, dark fruit. Superb stuff.

Keg at the Beavertown taproom. Pours oily black with almost no head. The nose has a good bit of burnt wood, barbecue, cocoa, dried dark fruits. Medium sweet flavor with nice dark cherries, some tangy berries, oak, moderate chocolate. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with chewy dark malts, semi-ripe dark fruits, mild tannins, burnt oak, hints of smoke. Great stuff.

Keg at the beavertown brewery. Oily black dark caramel coloured pour, no head. Aroma is solvent, acetone, caramel, nutty malts, vanish. Flavour is nutty, caramel, bourbon oak, vanilla, little bit of cherry and dark fruity. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation. Lingering wood a tart berry. Thankfully better than the aroma.

Keg at Beavertown. It pours jet black with pretty much no head. The nose is rich roast, coffee cake, smoke, earth, dark chocolate, mild acidity, fudge, tar and toffee. The taste is bitter, roasted, dark chocolate, black tea, smooth smoke, milk chocolate, treacle, berry, earth, salted liquorice and earth with a dry, roasty finish. Full body and fine carbonation. All comes together rather well. Rather drinkable.
