On tap @ Melkebaren. Black body with a small, dense beige head. Aroma has dark malt, cocoa, Cinnamon, wood and some Christmas spices in combination with peppermint. Flavor is sweet lactose, dark malt, vanilla, nuts, cinnamon, other Christmas spices, marple syrup and almost no bitterness. Fine body and strong in aftertaste. Might be decent for a sipper if you go for just a taster, but I went for a regular glass and thatch way too much. It’s drinkable but really messy, lots of stuff but no plan or balance here. The pastry chef has gone wild, wonder what the brewer says about this?

On tap at JaBeerWocky in Warsaw. Black pour with beige medium foam lowering fast leaving draft. Nose: cinnamon mostly takes the floor, syrup and caramel. Mouth: feels a bit chili or a Mexican-cake led RIS. Nice, mind you! Frizzy chili, anice, liquid spicy cookie. Fun beer.

On tap at The Fuggles Beer Cafe Tunbridge Wells. Black beer lasting tan head. Cinnamon and spice and dark chocolate mint aroma. Coffee and molasses. I mean it's a sweetish milk stout with spices. Something I should run from . But it's not terrible. Reminds me a bit of Christmas cake or pudding. Rich spicy malty. Dark fruity. A good rich dark fruit pudding. Pretty good.

440ml can. Black with a tan head, good retention. Big hit of maple on the nose, with cinnamon and milk chocolate. Taste is sweet, loads of maple syrup, milk chocolate, cinnamon and fenugreek add a nice spiciness, caramel, lactose, light roasty bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth, soft carbonation. Not labelled as a Christmas beer but it might as well be, would love an imperial version of this.
