Moon Dust is the next level up from our Moon Rocks beer. We took the base of our Moon Rocks imperial stout and aged it in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels until it took on that incredible woody flavour that makes this style sos enjoyable. We then added vast amounts of vanilla and coffee provided by Stewarts of Trent Bridge. We decided to do this post barrel to ensure that these flavours are as fresh and bold as possible.

Bottle at happy new year tasting. At Colin's. 21/01/2021. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A thick dark brown black coloured pour with halo of dark tan head. Aroma is thick dark chocolate, spicy cinnamon, bun, brown sugars. Flavour is composed of, medium sweet, mealy apple, brown sugars, liquorice, toffee, Appley notes, cinnamon bun, little aged. Palate is semi sweet. Chewy, mellow carbonation. Fine.

Bottle at the 'Mere, Happy New Years (Tipples had) Tastang, thanks to Kenny 21/01/22. Black with a beige cap that dissipates edgewards. Nose is coffee bean, spice, dark malts, cocoa powder, light booze, nutty, dried fruits. Taste comprises dark malts, light roast, light coffee grinds, cocoa powder, charr, dark fruit rinds. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced lick of boost. Decent coffee fuelled impy .. has aged gracefully.

Tasting at Chez Bois. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, sweetish, fruity dark chocolate. Well integrated vanilla. Modest earthy coffee on the soft finish. Not bad, lacks a bit of depth and carbonation but it goes down easy for the abv.

Bottle shared in Hazlemere - cheers to Kenny. Pours deep brown with a small, bubbly beige head. Medium sweet flavour, notes of earth, cocoa, roast, slight metallic accents. Medium bodied, a bit flat, just subtle carbonation. Lightly warming finish, earthy bitterness, some ash, baking cocoa, raisins. Not bad overall.

330ml bottle. Black with almost no head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, vanilla. Taste is sweet, rich, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, booze. Full bodied, smooth, almost flat. Great beer but I don't think the BA improved this at all over Moon Rocks.

Bottle picked up from Beer Gonzo online shop, Earlsdon, Coventry and consumed at home Saturday 29th December 2018 we've just had Bay and Lemon Baked Cod with Paprika, Potatoes. We're listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6. Another beast of a beer, pours black with very little head to speak of. Nice beer, it's got good BA touches, chocolate, coffee, however the taste is too much lactose, it doesn't refer to it's presence anywhere on the bottle but I am getting it, it's like coffee made with condensed milk. I am getting fed up of lactose in Impy Stouts, Evil Twin are the worst culprits. It's ok but compared to the Neon Raptor DIPAs and IPAs it falls short in the quality stakes. A7 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.3
