Bottle shared in Columbus - thanks to Tipple. Pours oily black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Big pastry stout aroma, lots of vanilla, burnt marshmallows. Medium to big sweet flavour, some alcohol, ashy roast, baking cocoa, raisins, smoke. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, more ashy, baking cocoa, more burnt marshmallows, vanilla pods. Good stuff overall.

Nice brown slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted, dark malts, dark sugar, chocolate, grass, hay, vanilla, caramel, nuts, minerals, toast, hints of coffee. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, dark malts, hay, minerals, weeds, grass, paper, dusty vanilla, toast, chocolate, nuts, dark sugar, hints of coffee and mild dusty chili. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough, nice aroma.

Bottle shared at Maakun's Homestead. Black with not much of a head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts and hazelnut aroma additives. Some salty black ink, tar, oyster shell. Moderate sweet and quite strong bitter, hints of sour and salt. Over medium body and low carbonation. Thin metallic layer of dust over the whole alcoholic thing. Bit of a let down, you hipster pranksters. Could buy 3 really good beers for the same moneys (about €8 retail). Will do next time. You know, I thought I understood Omnipollo as prankster artists. But here we are in the middle of a lucrative deal between two of the most renowned "craft" breweries and a beer brewed for "our friends from Saveur Biere" (aka InBev) and it's not bad but it doesn't rise above anything either of you did before either. I can grab a Rochefort 8 or 10 from the supermarket for a quarter of the price of this beer. What does this still mean? Gaining name with a prank but then? The space in which you operate seems to close down tightly, it's the fate of the prankster artist. It happened to Brewdog - or does anyone still believe or feel their punk act - and the same applies to Banksy and looms over Damien Hirst, the success and surprise timespan of the prankster is very limited and in my experience we are nearing the end of the Omnipollo successful prankster era. I'll be curious to see what's next and I'm ready to be excited once more, but this is a Piero Manzoni "merda di artista" in beer form. You can only sell a joke as art (or "craft") once, and it will be legendary, but after that, it will just be a legendary joke from the past. But who cares, right? "I'll just sit and grinn. The money will roll right in". Thanks for the thoughts, the beer was okay.

Bottle at home shared by sjogro, thanks! Black with short lasting brown head. Weird ice coffee, light chilies, weird roasted nuts and veggies, tar, sweet malts, corn sugar, oats, alcohol, cocoa nibs, hazelnut aroma, ink, sour berries and tropical fruits, ash. Over medium sweet and bitter and light sour. Full bodied with a little bit of a dry finish. Quite weird, it’s nice but it bit of a mess and all over the place.

Bouteille 33cl, merci Willy. Brune foncée, col épais crémeux café au lait, le tout sur un léger filament doré huileux et collant au verre. Arôme offre un bouquet orienté sur de forte effluves d'alcool, café, biscuité avec impression de noisettes concassées. Palais met de suite en avant les 12% de ce stout impérial. Pas mal de sucre résiduel pour monter en alcool, l'effet des piments est subtil arrivant juste en toute fin de bouche sans pour cela être surfait.Pointe de chocolaté sur la fin. Au final, ok mais de trop même pour trois personnes.

Bottle at tasting. Aroma of milk chocolate, hazelnut, mocha, caramel and vanilla. Taste has hazelnut, mild chili, chocolate, mocha, booze, vanilla and creamy caramel. Soft afterburn. Quite nice, not their best.
