Can, online from Trembling Madness. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma: pumpkin, bready malts, subtle spices. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, semi dry, pumpkin, biscuit, subtle pumpkin spices, light caramel. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Nicely accomplished, with the spices not overdone.

440ml can from CentrAle, Newcastle Station. Gluten Free. Golden colour, big white foamy head leaving lacing and aroma of spice, cinnamon, grains, pumpkin. Taste is tangy, pumpkin, grains, spiced, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamon, with some lingering earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry spiced cinnamon at the finish. Quite drinkable.

Keg at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Light gold and clear with a ring of white head. Light aroma, some sweet spice combined with muted stone fruit. There sweetness on the initial taste, but the beer is laden with balancing bittering hops. Short finish, watery body lifted by fairly heavy carbonation. Verdict: there isn't much to this one, even the pumpkin element is a bit half-hearted. Not Abbeydale's best.

Can. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. Hazed, pale gold. Fairly sturdy white head stays the course. Nose has soft cinnamon spice. Nutmeg. Ginger biscuit malt. Light, floral hop notes. Taste has moderate sweetness, with a nice balance of spicy bitterness. Light to medium body. Foamy carbonation. Nicely refreshing. Light bitter finish. Enjoyed this way more than I thought I would.
