0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', best before November 2019. Hazy, golden amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, rather yeasty-spicy and gently fruity aroma of banana, clove, vanilla and citrus with a touch of pear. Slightly sweet, gently bitter, rather fruity, grassy and moderately yeasty-spicy taste of banana, clove, pear, lemon and some honeydew, followed by a short, medium bitter, grassy-dry and gently yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice beer, cross-over between Wheat IPA and hoppy Weizen.

wazig geel/gouden met witte kraag. aroma van citrus, banaan, tarwe, gist, vrij typische weizen, koriander. Smaken citrus, matig bitter, zepig mondgevoel, komt vast door de korander/haver, lichte kruidnagel, komt niet echt tropisch binnen en ook niet echt als een ipa, licht droge afdronk, zwakke body. aardig maar ook niet meer dan dat.

One of Bird Brewery’s ‘provincial’ beers, this one for Flevoland in collaboration with the Stijl brewery there; thanks Craftmember for sharing. Thinnish, egg-white, moussy ring over a misty golden blonde beer with vague khaki tinge. Aroma of banana peel, sweet cider, sweetbread, moldy old limes, cold pasta, pond water, cloves, leek soup, fresh basil leaves. Sweet and lightly sourish onset, soft carbonation, lots of mango and ripe banana aspects with a lime-like edge, supple soapy wheatiness with a velvety oatmeal effect, softly bready; finishes with lime peel-like bitterishness and some oniony retronasal aromas, while fruitiness and wheat soapiness linger about. Pleasant enough, an up to date (American style) wheat IPA, with a pleasant balance of sweet and bitter.

Cold bottle at home on a nice hot day of slaving away at the office. Hazy golden with thin white head. Sweet malts, citrus peels, some juicy fruitiness, soapy coriander, doughy yeasty, grassy, winegums. Quite sweet and moderate bitter.
