150ml draught at Agenturet Øl og Vinbar. Thanks to Finn for this birthday gift. Shiny naked at the surface, pitch black body, scattered lacing. Spiced chocolate malts on the nose. Rich taste of biscuit and chocolate, some spices, and vanilla bourbon beneath. Warming, mid-dry chocolate ending. Likable sipper. (Tromsø 03.11.2020).

On tap at Både&. A black one, rather oily, with a small tan head soon reduced to a rim of bubbles. Sweetish aroma with vanilla, coconut, coffee and some booze. A touch of dark rye bread, wood and brown sugar too. It's full bodied, sticky and warming, very softly carbonated. Sweet flavor with dark chocolate, coffee, coconut, vanilla. Some rye bread, wood and a light bitterness too. Lasting finish with the wood more pronounced than in the initial flavor. A delicious one indeed, but sure not a thirst quencher. 200612

Bakgården Både & 060320. Black color with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, licorice. Flavor is alcohol, vanilla, bourbon , roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, orange peel, licorice. Complex very nice beer.

Tap @ Bakgården under the name: As Told on the Mountain (12,5%). Unclear, dark brown, close to black under a small, lacing beige head. Aroma has mild roasted dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee and some warming alcohol with a spicy touch. Taste is a bit stronger than expected from aroma, but really super smooth and soft, silky smooth, gentle roasted dark malt, sweet chocolate, some dry fruit, balanced distinct bitterness, some spices like licorice, vanilla and orangepeel in the background and lots of warming smooth Bourbon. Perfectly balanced body and everlasting aftertaste with chocolate, malt and warming alcohol. Strong in taste, still one of the easiest drinkable beers I ever had above 12% ABV. Fantastic.

Fra fat på Cafe Sara (hvor ellers?), delt med Kitty etter Peter Grimes i operaen nov-19: nesten helt svart med kort skum. Superfed, begeistret og begeistrende - en cornucopia av lekre inntrykk; mørke lakrissjokolader, nybrent dessertkaffe, portvinsvinøs, mørk og saftig sjokoladekake med svisker. Alle inntrykkene er fantastisk integrert, og ettersmaken varte forbi Youngstorget. Gratulerer med jubileet, Sara!

Cheers for Café Sara! This one is a really cracker. Powerful and lovely evening sipper Black as the darkest corner of Café Sara. Nice beige head and a fine lacing Nice powerful aroma. Creamy texture and smooth fine carbonation level. Pleasant to drink. Balanced sweetness for a beer like this Berry fruity, port wine ish, chocolate and some spices in the flavor Solid duration [On tap at Café Sara in Oslo, Norway]
