Fløien IPA er en India Pale Ale av amerikansk type. Det er et kraftig aromatisk øl med en rik humleduft av sitrus, tropiske frukter og gran, balansert av et markert maltpreg. Navnet stammer fra et av de syv fjellene som omkranser Vestlandets hovedstad. Ølet er upasteurisert og ufiltrert, og bør serveres ved 7-9 grader i egnet glass.

Sample from bottle @ Sur & Bitter, Sandnes. Pours clear golden, with a creamy, off white head. Aroma is sweet hoppy notes oranges, apricots and mango, as well as malts with bread and caramel. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is bitter hops, with sweet citrusy notes, apricots and h, as well as malty notes of bread and caramel. Nice, bitter finish.

Bottle@Taphouse Tuesday Bottle Share, Copenhagen - Orange pour with white head. Fruity and malty aroma and taste with some nice citrus and tropical fruits, some citrus satsuma, lemon, peachy notes, pretty decent IPA overall.

33 cl bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity and slight citrusy. Bitter, citrusy and grapefruity. Slight herbal. Crisp fruity, bitter and yet light fruity sweet impression. Lingering fruity finish.

Flaske 330ml - batch 98 - fra Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Kjøpt sammen med Rune og delt på Nerstranda 8 Feb 16. Gylden. Høyt tett skum med litt lacing. Aroma av frukttyggegummi. Smaken syrlig frukt. Balansert. Behagelig øl. Uklar siste kvelling.

On tap @EurHop (Rome). Pours light amber, a bit unclear, with a medium white head. Aroma is malty, tropical fruits, citrus, peach, ok. Flavour is medium sweet with a decent bitter end. Medium body, medium carbonation. Just another IPA.

Keg at CBC Clerko, 02/11/15. Amber orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is caramel, spice, straw, bitter citric fruits. Taste comprises tangerine, citric tinged straw, toasted malt, mellow hop tunes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok IPA but doesn’t really pull out of 2nd gear for me.

Craft Clerkenwell. LKS 15K bash. Keg. Hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light and crisp and mildly dry. Light dry malts, touch of thin cream. Decent marmalade and mild hop spice. Finishes crispy. Decent.
