Bottle @ home. Well stored. Clear, deep amber body almost without any head. Aroma has malt, dry fruit and fortified wine. Taste is quite sweet, rich malt, dry fruit, vinous and hint of toffee. Very smooth. Fine body with a long lasting pleasant aftertaste. A nice and balanced quad which has benefited from storage.

YG 210921. Dark brown color with beige bubbles. Aroma is alcohol, dried fruits, cocoa. Flavor is alcohol, raisin, roasted malt, dried fruits, sugar, nuts, vinous, chocolate, coffee, cocoa, toffee. Complex nice beer.

Bottle. It's a hazy dark brown colored beer, lightly oily, with a minimal sized beige head. Lightly vinous aroma, with lots of dark dried fruits, a good dash of brown sugar and nuts. Some dark chocolate and alcohol. It's a bit thin on the palate I think, very softly carbonated, with some warmth and a good dash of sweetness. Vinous flavor too, prunes, raisin, toffee, brown sugar, oak hints, alcohol, nuts, hints of spices I guess is from the yeast, some marmalade hints and cocoa. Lasting finish where a faint note of soy sauce is added to the initial flavors. A quite pleasant one, complex, but lacking on carbonation and body. 210921

Ultradypbrun / svart. Filmskum med litt farge. Sherryaroma. Hint av vanilje. Smaken innholdsrik. Mest mandler. Karamell i avslutningen. Skikkelig koseøl.

Mi2 på Cardinal des-19, vi er i full gang aktiv ruspleie i trygge omgivelser, og stemningen er som vanlig upåklagelig idet seremonimster Melberg bærer inn flaskevis av denne nye fra Rygr. Brunsvart med ok skum. Mørke karameller/knekk/muscovado/svisker/fiken/sviskeplommer og ingefær. Hint av gingerbread. Portvinsvinøs. Saftig, og med en deilig ettersmak, jeg trenger neppe dessert til julemiddagen etter et glass av denne. Gromguttene på Klepp fortsetter å imponere.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 02.12.19. Clear dark mahogany. Diminishing beige head. Aroma and taste of sweet dark malt, dates, figs and rasins. Low carbonation and oily mouthfeel.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours dark brown with little off-white head. Aroma of dark dried fruits, plums, dark bread, caramel, vinous. Tastes sweet with little bitterness. Medium bodied, sweet finish.

330 ml bottle, from the brewery. ABV is 10.8%. Hops are Perle, Bobek and Hallertauer. Yeast is Westmalle. Very dark reddish brown colour, small beige head. The aroma has notes of brown sugar, almonds, caramel, nuts and dust. The flavour is quite sweet, with loads of caramel and brown sugar, also notes of dark dried fruits, \"brente mandler\" (caramel-coated and roasted almonds), moderate hops.
