Half-pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at Hop Inn. Filmy layer, clear dark amber body, fair lacing. Mixed nose of dark fruits and moderate malty sweetness. Moderate taste profile of caramel, earth and dried fruits. Ends mid-sweet, slightly bitter. Rather anonymous. (Swindon 26.10.2019).

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 4/1/2017. Amber in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Sweet cereal malts, a touch of hedgerow fruits, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

[Cask at The Retreat, Reading] Light amber, slight white head, slight fizz - superb condition as always at the Retreat. Good fruit (rhubarb?) and malt aroma and flavour, with and odd hint of dusty Harris Tweed, as if this beer was named for some headwear of that material that fell in the mash tun. OK bitter, maybe a little on the sweet side though.

Cask handpull at The Flower Pot Maidstone. Brown virtually no head. It’s a bitter. Not great condition but the flavour is ok. Some hop on end some malt in mouth. But its a bitter.
