We made a few adjustments to Cobblers recently, a bit of a darker malt profile makes this a much more robust bitter, with amped up notes of biscuit and toffee to compliment the refreshing hop flavours.

Gravity cask at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Reddish brown with a little bit of a chestnut hue, clear with a small deposit of off-white head and a touch of natural carbonation. Nutty aroma, forest floor, some lightly fruited toffee. Balanced taste with an astringent bitterness cutting out any initial sweetness. Slight oily body, soft carbonation. Kind of a bitter by numbers although a very good one.

Cask ale, half-pint, shard with Finn at the brewpub in Northampton. Bright copper coloured body, naked surface, dotte spots on the glass. Mid-sweet malt and mild leafy hops on the nose, promising. BLended taste profile of leafy hops, biscut and caramel malts. Bittersweet finish. Clean in the mouth. Decent bitter. (12.02.2019).

Cask gravity at the Bailiffs Tap, Banbury, Oxon, Sunday 5th March 2017 Pours copper in colour, good clarity with a light filminess. Straight down the middle fruity traditional bitter, completely inoffensive but does little to excite. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
