Cask ale at Blue Boar in Leicester, shared with jjsint and Finn. Lacing rings down the glass, rosewood coloured body, almost black. Promising smell of prunes and caramel. Mixed taste profile of dried fruits and caramel malts, a piney hints towards a mid-dry ending. Pretty nice. (10.02.2019)

Delt med Rune i hyggelig selskap av jjsint. Mørk gyldenbrun. Skum langs glasset. Lett fruktaroma. Smaken ditto. Søt tørr ettersmak.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester with Finn and Rune. Chocolate brown, clear with a very small ring of off-white head. Chocolate malt, oak, sarsaparilla and vanilla in the aroma. Sweet taste, oaky, peppery and slightly medicinal. Long woody finish with a hint of sourness. Flat and thin body. All in all this is very nice indeed.

(Cask at Gallows Bird Real Ale Festival 2019) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had toasted malts and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, caramel, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, sweet and bitter. A nice sweetish burnt brew.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Clear dark amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Slightly earthy malts. Jammy berries. Little floral bitterness. More earthy berry fruits on the finish. Tasty.
