Bottled (from Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Yellowish golden colour with a minor head. Aroma is saffron, lussekatter and some slight sweet malts. Flavour is lussekatter, saffron and some cardamom.

Bottle, at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. An almost clear one, golden in color, and with a minimal sized off-white head. Spiced aroma with wet paint notes, bread and a generic fruityness. It's quite sweet on the palate, full- to medium bodied, smooth and warming, with pale malts and fruityness doing most of the flavor work. Spices, alcohol and some citrus hints too. Long finish. Well... kudos for the idea and try, but it sure ain't gonna be seen on my Christmas table. 171021

Amber colour, small off-white head. Strong aroma is medicinal, spices, lots of odd things. Light-bodied. Flavour is similar: medicinal, alcohol, green apple, hops, spices. Very odd. I don't want to drink this twice ...

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 8%. Hazy golden colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of alcohol, earthy hops and cardamom, hints of raisins and saffron. The flavour is first fruity with distinct notes of raisins and citrussy hops, followed by rather weird spicy notes of cardamom and saffron. Seems rather unbalanced to me.

0,33 flaske fra Vinmonopolet Hønefoss, kjøpt des-18 og delt Einar: lett uklar safrangylden med kort skum. Aroma og smak er nesten like kort - safran, hvit pepper, overmodne appelsiner og alkoholsødme. Julestemningen lar vente på seg, vintermørke, snø og 13 minus til tross. Trodde jeg kjøpte 2018-utgaven, nå MÅ jeg lære meg til å lese nøye på etikettene før jeg legger flasker i handlekurven!

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Gyldenbrun. Uklar. Høyt tett skum som daler sakte. Lett julekrydderaroma. Smalen samme krydder. Pepperkakeaktig etter hvert. Definitivt julepreg - men litt uvariert.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet, Stokmarknes. Creamy off-white head, slowly diminishing over a warm golden body with a slight haze. Lacing rings down the glass. Spiced, slightly perfumed, aroma, moments of cardamom, sweet fruits, and dough. Mixed taste of spices, almond, apricot and lime. Mid-sweet fruity ending. Gives a slight artificial impression. Easy to drink. Different and alright, though not a great one. (Stokmarknes 02.03.2018).

Bottle. Clear golden body with medium sized yellow head that fades. Aroma is distinct saffron with pale malt some dough and yeast. Flavor has sweet pale malt, some white sugar and funny enough the right mix of saffron, dough and butter (not butterscotch) to make it actually taste like real Swedish Lussekatt (saffron buns). This is Christmas, pastry tripple and manage to still be a Belgium Triple at the same time. Not really great as a beer, but funny and highly enjoyable, I Guess you might have a thing for Lussekatt or at least a great sense of humor to appreciate this.

Ølfestivalen Nærbø 2017. Orange color with a white head. Aroma is spices, alcohol, sugar. Flavor is spices, alcohol, yeast, sugar, malt, saffron ,butterscotch. Weird beer.

Golden with a white head - Malt and some spicy belgian yeast notes - Malt body with some spicy flavours - The malt and spicy flavours goes into the finish with some alcohol heat - This was nice
