Bottled (Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Black colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is toasted, coffeish and some slight burnt wooden notes with caramel. Flavour is smooth, ashy, some caramel, burnt wood and some slight crreamy notes. Pleasant. Nice porter.

Bottle. Clear, deep amber body under a nice, dense beige head. Aroma is dark malt, coffee, some chocolate and hint of green pepper. Taste is sweet, dark light roasted malt, chocolate, some coffee, balanced bitterness and hint of dry fruit and herbs. Medium body and same aftertaste. Pleasant, quite straight forward porter.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8%. Black colour, huge tan head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee, burnt toast and dark chocolate. Fairly smooth flavour for its strength, slightly sweet, with the same elements as in the aroma, also decent piney hops.

Bottled 330ml (Vinmonopolet Kirkenes)
Opaque colour and steady small brownish head. Sweetish coffeish aroma. Medium-bodied. Toasted, coffeish with some hops. This is nice bold porter - and really it is porter not eg. stout.

Nice light brown slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish roasted, weeds, sour-ish roasted grain, bloodlike minerals, alcohol, soil, bark, cocoa, tar, licorice, sour coffee, paper, toast, grass. Taste is sweet sour-ish roasted, weeds, roasted grain, burnt toast, dark sugar, bark, soil, bloodlike minerals, salty licorice, burnt coffee, alcohol, tar, cocoa. Medium to longlasting bitterness, sweet and harsh burnt mouthfeel. Not my cup of coffee.

Bottle. A reddish dark brown beer with a dense finger thick head leaving lacing. The aroma is quite burnt, with dark dried fruits, some cocoa and a hint of alcohol. Candy hints in the far back. Roasted malts, cocoa, some coffee, prunes and raisins, alcohol and resiny, grapefruity hints. Shouldn't be any citrusy things here, guess it's something else. Hints of yeast in the back. It's full bodied, nicely carbonated and with a warming feeling. Rather yeasty finish. A nice try, but without finesse. 181022
