Bottled (from Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Deep rubyish copper colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is raisins, alcohol, some wood and mild spices. Flavour is spices, some mild raisins, dry wood and mild toast. Mouthdrying palate.

Bottle. Clear amber body under a nice tan head. Aroma has malt with a hint of cooked vegetables. Taste is sweet and malty with some vegetables as well. Medium body and same aftertaste. Drinable but pretty boring.

Fin klar farge, temmelig søt og kanskje litt flat, men med nydelig maltfokusert balanse. Kanskje ikke et komplekst og komplisert øl, men solid og godt juleøl, som dog kan tippe over i det litt for søte.

Bottle. A clear chestnut colored beer with a small beige head. The aroma is nutty and with some dark chocolate and roasted malts. Dark bread crust and cooked vegetables. It’s full to medium bodied, nicely carbonated and smooth, with a soft bitterness. Nuts, roasted malts, some coffee and dark chocolate in the flavor, not too sweet, not too bitter. A decent one, nothing more. 201127

Bottle bought at Vinmonopolet, Kirkenes. (vintage 2018) Brownish/amber with a medium head. Aroma and taste of dark malt, caramel, some chocolate and notes of dried fruit. Drinkable but a bit on the light side.

Brown colour, small beige head. Caramel, alcohol, soya sauce in the nose. Medium-bodied. Bitter, licorice, caramel in the flavour. Malty. Ok.

Bottle courtesy of Rune and Finn. Mid-brown, translucent with a short-lived beige/khaki head. Light aroma of oak, cola.l, some brown bread. Lots of sweet spice in the initial taste, followed by an earthy and slightly medicinal hop. Some allspice and oak chips in the aftertaste. Surprisingly robust carbonation. Decent stuff.
