Bottle at home. Has a dark mahogany colour with a creamy beige head. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, chocolate, tobacco and roasted malt. Flavour of bourbon, leather, vanilla, roasted malt and tobacco. Grass in a little dry ending. Has a slick and soft mouth feel, medium to full body and a light bitterness. Pretty vanilla dominated aroma, but the flavour is more complex.

Bottle. Clear amber body under a fine, dense tan head. Aroma has malt, caramel, dry fruit and vanilla. Taste is sweet malt, caramel, dry fruit and vanilla like aroma with moderate bitterness. Fin balanced flavors, balanced body and smooth aftertaste. Nice one. Had a couple of this and seems to appreciate it more and more for each time.

8-3-7-3-14 Bottle. Pours maroon, with a big rocky head. The aroma is really sweet, I promise. How sweet can it be, d'you think? Well, really sweet, actually. Oh, too sweet then. No, didn't say that, did I. Because it isn't. Really sweet, though. There's notes of milk chocolate and loads of vanilla, as well as muscovado, leather and dark fruity minerals. Medium to full body, with very soft carbonation. Flavour is roasted malts with bread, cocoa nibs, lactose and vanilla, as well as muscovado and leather.

On tap at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. A clear chestnut colored beer with a small light beige head. Vanilla, bourbon hints, caramel, dried fruits and a touch of bready malts in the flavor. It's smooth on the palate, full-bodied and sweetish, with a bit low carbonation. There's less bourbon in the flavor than in the aroma, with the same level of vanilla, dried fruits and caramel. A light bitterness brings some balance. Long sweet finish with dried fruits, caramel and vanilla. Quite nice this one. 171021
