Drukket i Stavern 22 Okt 16. Ultramørk amber. Veldig høyt, luftig skum med litt farge. Lett kaffearoma. Innslag av lakris. Smaken kaffepreget - men tynn. Hint av sjokolade i ettersmaken.

Nice opaque brown color with beige head. The head gives up a bit to fast. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation. Decent balance between sweetness and bitterness. Coffee, roast and some chocolate in the flavor. Nice easy drinkable ale.

500 ml bottle. Clear, dark amber body with an off-white head. OK aroma, pretty straight forward dark malt and chocolate. Flavor is mild roasted dark malt, chocolate, hint of coffee, low bitterness. Quite smooth and relatively good balanced for this low ABV. Medium body and average aftertaste. Nothing outstanding, but definitely drinkable as a session ale.

Bottle, batch 3. Pours clear dark brown, with an enormous off white head. Aroma is burned malts with dark caramel and coffee, as well as bread and cocoa. Light to medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts, with coffee, bread and burned sugar, as well as a hint of dark fruits. Clean, balanced and drinkable, but not very exciting.

16.06.2016, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry roasted, toast, roasted grain, minerals, weeds, chocolate, caramel, dark malts, grass, hints of coffee. Taste is slightly sour-ish dry roasted, weeds, burnt toast, grass, minerals, roasted grain, burnt caramel, sour coffee, paper, hints of chocolate and coffee. Medium bitterness, burnt and watery mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Bottle at home. Pours dark ruby to brown with small off-white head. Aroma of cocoa, coffee, toffee, nuts, dark chocolate, real liquorice. Taste roasted bitter with a hint of sweetness. Medium to thin bodied. A bit watery, but still a lot of aroma.
