May 2019: Cask 1/3 pint, gravity dispense, at the 46th Cambridge Beer Festival, 2019. ABV 4.6%. Reddish brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of brown malts, hints of berries. The flavour has also brown malts, and tingling fruity hops.

Handpull cask at the Kings Head, Leicester. Chestnut brown mostly clear with a decent-sized beige head. Woody smell, some caramel, turps, stone fruit. Taste is bittersweet with a massive astringency which seems to increase mid-sip. A slight fade at the finish gives room for balance. Very traditional beer that grew on me but slightly too medicinal.

Cask ale, half pint shared with Finn at Bell and Castle. A patchy beige head to a clear copper coloured body. Good lacing. Brown malt nose added by herbal hops. Mixed taste of slightly roasted caramel malts and fruity hops. Bittersweet tail. Medium bodied. Likable (Derby 16.02.2016).

Cask @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Clear very dark amber-brown with a creamy head. Has a fine lightly tropical fruit aroma and taste in a medium bodied ale.
