Fra fat på Henrik’s Øl- og vinstove, sammen med Børge: brunsvart, med flott lysebrunt skum som varer hele veien. Lekker aroma og smak av luxuskaffe, mørk sjokolade, kakao. Enda bedre enn iskaffe, og med en deilig, tørr avslutning. Dette er lekre saker!

Bergen Ølfestival 2014. Dark brown colour with a tan head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, cocoa. Flavour is coffee, roasted malt, cocoa, chocolate. Very nice beer i would like to drink again.

On tap at What’s Brewing. Very dark brown in color, topped by a dense, finger-thick ligt tan head leaving lacings. The aroma has mocha, vanilla notes and roasted malt. On the dark side, yes, but sure pleasant. The flavor is more on the roasted side, with a touch of chocolate added, as well as the mocha and vanilla notes known from the aroma. It’s full-bodied and quite dry on the palate, with a lasting coffee-ish finish. A yummy beer I’d be happy to see on tap regularly. 141101

Fra kran på Ølhallen. Svart. Pent mokkafarget skum som varer en stund. God sjokoladearoma. Smaken er kaffe & lakris. Avslutter svakt syrlig med et lite fjøspreg lurende i bakgrunnen.

170ml draught, as Coffee Stout, 6 % abv, at Ølhallen (tap no. 38). Almost jet black coloured body, tan-coloured ring to the rim of the surface, lacing rings down the glass. Smell of roasted coffee grounds joined by malty sweetness. Rich taste of coffee and dark chocolate. Lingering burnt bitterness to the ending. Oily palate. Well bodied. Enjoying (Tromsø 25.11.2014).

Draught @ What’s Brewing 2014, Stavanger
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long coffee and chocolate finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at What’s Brewing beer festival 2014, Stavanger. Pours black with light brown head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt. Thin bodied, some bitterness.

On tap @ Bergen Ølfestival. Pours black with a finger thick creamy mocha head. Aroma is roasted malts with coffee, leather and cocoa, as well as notes of wood and yeast. Full body with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet with roasted malts, leather and bitter coffee, as well as cocoa, bread and notes of liquorice. Sweet burned finish.

Small light brown fizzy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, dark malts, dark sugar, licorice, caramel, coffee, grass, soy sauce, hay, cocoa.Taste is sour-ish dry, sour coffee, paper, roasted grain, burnt caramel, grass, hops, ashtray, dark malts. Longlasting bitterness, dry slightly harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough, expected much more from this one...
