A well laced white head on a grapefruit juice coloured body. A punchy, clean saison with a nice range of taste elements. Banana, light hops, nutmeg and other spices on an appropriate slightly sweet malt base.

Tap at the source and via a can from the brewery. Cloudy yellow pour and a large white head. Very grassy and yeasty with a sharp citrus zesty hop. Soft mouth feel, and soft carb with a medium bitterness. Yeasty finish, sharp hops, solid cereals, slightly peppery, and crisp.

Sawdust city there’s no way of knowing on tap at Bar Hop Brewco Saison with lemon verbana & grains of paradise. Cloudy light gold with a sweet lemon and tropical fruit aroma. Light bodied with a soft mouthfeel. The taste is quite good soft wheat, tangy grains of paradise, a bit of banana bread. I like it.

Tap at BarHop. Hazy light golden with lasting white head. Light wheat dough, lots of soft spices, lemon, fresh herbs with what I guess is the verbena. Medium sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with a bit creamy feel. Well balanced, the additions are not overpowering and everything combines well.

Can from NB liquor. Hazy pale gold with a large fluffy white head that lasts. Nose of yeast, banana, green apple and some spice. Flavour follows the nose except the spice is more prominent with a tart backing. Mouth is medium- and a bit slick with active carbonation. Nicely balanced. 8-/3+/8-/3+/15-

Can - Sweet and syrupy flowery notes. Clearish gold with a decent frothy white head. Sweet, bitter and a touch herbal with some peppery notes. Still flowery and a bit on the sweet side, the bitterness cuts through it nicely. A pretty dry finish. Not bad.

Enjoyed at the Loon. Pours a hazy golden colour with a white head, decent retention with some wet-creamy lacing. Herbal aromas with Belgian Ale yeast. The taste has a soft blend of the hops, yeast and citrus flavours. Some mild grain lingers in the aftertaste. More refreshing Saison than a punchy one.
