On tap at Gulating Pub, Stavanger. It’s almost clear in the glass, golden in color and topped by a dense off-white head leaving lacing. Sweetish aroma with yellow apple and pear, and a touch of grainy malts in the back. It’s sweet and too grainy in the flavor, with a vague DMS hint. Rather low on bitterness, but not too low considering the style. Too low considering the sweetness though. It’s full to medium bodied, with a soft carbonation and a lasting sweet and grainy finish with some fruityness. Sure, it’s drinkable and all that, but I find it way too sweet. 171020

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Golden colour, large white head. Decent aroma of herbal hops and newmown grass. Fresh and medium dry flavour, smooth and pleasant to drink, moderate herbal hops. A decent helles, but has not enough body nor alcohol to be a real Märzen.
