Tap @ På Kornet, Stavanger. Black body with a small, tan head. Aroma has dark malt, some coffee and a little hint of peat or bandage. Flavor is surprisingly smooth for the high alcohol, dark, sweet malt, some toast, coffee, chocolate and moderate bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. Fine body and nice aftertaste. Nice one.

Canned (from Vinmonopolet, drank at Vuotson Maja B&B). Black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is spices, sweetness, lactose and some alcohol with mild fudge. Flavour is sweet malts, fudge, vanilla, lactose, spices with some burning alcohol in the finish.

Opaque colour, small beige head. Toasted, vanilla and lactose. Full-bodied. Toasted, sweetish lactose, nutty flavours. Sweet pastry mess. Tolerable.

Så og si svart farge med beige skum. Lukter sjokolade, vaniljesødme, kaffe. Vanilje, karamell og kaffe i smak. Fyldig.

Keg at six degrees north Edinburgh. Pours black, nose is chocolate, liquorice, cream, treacle, taste is similar, rich, creamy, sweet.

Can, from Cunningham. Dark brown color with small beige head. Aroma of dark malt, vanilla, caramel, cacao. Taste, milk chocolate, nuts, nougat, vanilla, cacao, dark sugar. Alcohol is dangerously hidden. Oily texture. This is tasty liquid chocolate, I enjoyed it.

Tasting @Open Baladin Roma. Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino media. Al naso note di vaniglia, cioccolato, legno. In bocca è dolce, sbilanciata, tanta vaniglia, finale appena amaro. Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Ok.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 10%. Black colour, large to moderate tan head. Aroma of roast malts, cocoa / chocolate, vanilla, lactose, caramel, dark sugars, hints of coffee. Smooth and slightly warming mouthfeel. Medium sweet flavour, with the same elements as the aroma, moderate bittering hops in the finish.
