Bottle from Gulating as Risholmen Sushi ale. Hazy orange golden body with a very thin and small white head that fades right away. Aroma has peach, ginger and chewing gum. Flavor is medium sweet, peach, fruit, slightly mineral, light ginger, chewing gum and ripe citric fruit. A bit thin and watery in body with aftertaste in the same direction. Quite unbalanced and not very interesting really, despite the idea of ginger and Sorachi hops. I honestly don't think I would chose this together with a Sushi, but this might just be a matter of taste. As a beer in general this was not a hit in my book. The idea is fun, but the result become just boring. A regular goose or a pure Geuze wwithout any kind of bulshit may be my perfect Sushi beer.

Hazed golden color with a small head. Decent mild ginger aroma. A bit to soft carbonation level. That destroyed this beer. Decent flavor also. Malty and mild ginger.

330 ml bottle, as Homborsund Risholmene Sushi Ale, from Bunnpris Sauda. ABV is 4.7%, IBU 19. Hazy golden to brownish colour, small white head. Aroma of citrus, lemongrass, ginger and coriander. Refreshing flavour with the same elements, low bitterness. I did not have it with sushi, but can easily imagine that would be a good combo.

330ml bottle as Risholmene Sushi Ale, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsø. Unclear golden body, filmy layer, fragile lacing. Modest aroma of dough and apricot. Spiced doughy flavours, hints of ginger and grain. Dough fruity endnotes. Drinkable, not more.

06.07.2018, 0,33l bottle (as Risholmene Sushi Ale) @ home:
Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, hazy dark orangy color. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish floral, weeds, dusty ginger, grass, minerals, hay, sawdust, light malts, flowers, wet grain, wet cardboard, butterscotch, coriander. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, hay, flowers, soapy ginger, minerals, coriander, grass, wet grain, wet cardboard, paper, sawdust. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish grassy mouthfeel. So boring.

Bottle. An unclear, dark orange colored beer with a dense, off-white head. Pale malts, caramel, generic Belgian-ish fruityness and a light spiced touch. Some notes of yeast as well. It's full-bodied and nicely carbonated, with a low bitterness level. Peach hints in the flavor, with a spiced hint and a generic fruityness. Pale malts and toffee in the back. Some ginger notes towards the finish. Overall, interesting, but it feels a bit oxidized. Sure had better beers from this brewery. 180622
