Bottle from Gulating. Hazy golden body with a small, dense white head. Aroma feels really like authentic old school Norwegian farmhouse ale. That means juniper, berries, smoke and forest with a hint of bog. Flavor is quite sweet with malt, bread, yeast, juniper, smoke, damp forest and low bitterness. Medium body and long lasting aftertaste in the same direction. Feels really authentic, this is not one of these modern hoppy kveik beers where the kveik sometimes is not possible to recognize behind a ton on American hops. Credit for that, but on the other hand this is not an easy accessible flavor for ordinary beer drinkers and frankly I can’t have too much of this stuff myself. Interesting for a small sample but even a small bottle becomes a bit to much for me. But everyone with a faint interest for beer should try this with an open mind.

Can. Pours a slightly cloudy dark straw colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of peaches, grass, lime, bread and dry hay. Flavour of pale malt, grass, white bread and some sweet corn. Has a slick mouth feel, light body and a soft bitterness. Malty and decent. A little careful and I miss some complexity. Not far from a pale lager.

Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, hay, grain, juniper and yeast. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a malty, yeasty, juniper and hay finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Temmelig skummende. Men interessant, der kveiken gir en unik aromaprofil, samt at det er tydelig at det også er noter einer der. Lett tørrende og svake toner av røyk, selv om det kan være kveiken som spiller meg et puss. Brygget på EGO.

Aroma malt gjær skog. Smak gjær skog malt syrlig frukt. Lett fylde moderat bitter, kjip øl.

330 ml can, from Bris Ølutsalg, Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%. Hazy golden colour, some floaties in the glass, minimal white head. Fruity notes of \"kveik\" (Norwegian farmhouse yeast, also notes of juniper. Refreshing flavour, notes of fruity / citrussy kveik and some juniper, but the bitterness is low.
