0,33 boks fra Åsa Landhandleri Hønefoss hos Einar og Synne mars-19: brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Mørk malt, kanel, kardemomme, litt lakris og tjære, overmodne bjørnebær og furunål. Mye smak i butikkstyrke. Tørr bitterhed i afslutningen.

330ml can from Gulating Ølutslag, Bodø. Shared with Liv. A beige head over an opaque near-black body. Dotted spots on the glass. Moderate smell of cocoa powder. Dark malty taste, dark dough and cocoa, spiced with cinnamon. Ends rather sweet. A bit mealy in the mouth. Satisfying. (Svenskebyen, Bodø 28.02.2019).

330 ml can, from Bris Ølutsalg, Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%. Black colour, small beige head. Aroma of roast malts, cold coffee, vanilla and Christmas spices. Medium dry flavour of roast malts, coffee, moderate vanilla and Christmas spices (ginger, cloves and cinnamon), also fairly distinct bittering hops and a slight fruitiness. Nice to drink.

Bottle. It pours a huge beige head over a dark brown to black colored body. Lacing. Spiced aroma with coffee, roasted malts, oats and quite a lot of yeast. Roasted malts, oats, coffee, herbal notes and some sourish, in a positive way, and fruity notes in the flavor. Spice hints. It’s quite effervescent on the palate, medium to full-bodied, with a lasting roasted, oat-ish finish. Well, nothing impressive going on here, and it’s too much on the yeasty side. 180210
