In honour of the coal-mine canaries who made the ultimate sacrifice we brewed this punchy West Coast IPA.
Heavy hop doses bring bitterness, pine and a dry refreshing finish -- our liquid eulogy is a knockout.

Gyllen brun med høyt off-white skum. Lukter karamell, brød og humle. Smaker karamellmalt og noe tørkede frukter.

Can. A crystal clear deep golden to amber colored beer with a nice looking off-white head. Fine lacing too. The aroma is too much on the malty side for me, bread and toffee, borderline diacetyl, with fruity, perfumed hops. Some citrus zest. It's full-bodied and smooth on the palate, with a good bitterness. Semi-dry. The flavor too is on the malty side, bread, toffee and some dried fruit, along with piney, resiny hops. Some perfumed, flowery hints as well. Citrus zest bitterness in the swallow. Too much on the malty side for me this one. 240319

Can at the Jospeh Conrad, Lowestoft spoons, 28/01/24. Deep golden Amber with a good sized lasting light egg shell white head. Nose is caramel malts, grass, orange peel, citric tinged straw. Taste comprises orange peel, caramel, straw, melon, grass. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced earthy hop bitterness. Okay clean drinking IPA with an old skool bite

10/11/2023. Can bought at The Joseph Conrad, Lowestoft. Shared with my Norwich mate Andy on train to Beccles Beer Festival. Pours slightly hazy amber bronze with a small frothy off-white head. Quite an old school, hoppy, piney, citrusy IPA. Liked it.

Can. Appearance - amber with a big fluffy white head. Nose - dried orange, cake, a hint of pine and a general muesli thing. Taste - cake, dried orange, caramel and toffee. Palate - medium bodied, creamy sweet middle and a mixture of sweet and dry on the finish. Overall - not quite on style, more of an old style IPA.

Can @ Twelve Tellers, Preston. Amber with a head and a noticeable strength to a mainly hoppy-soapy brew with some fruity notes.

440ml can from Wales Ales. Gluten Free. Orangey amber brown colour, big foamy tan head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, hops, earthy. Taste is sweetish, malt, slight woody hint, with marmalade, mellow citrusy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light hoppy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

440ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Oct 21. Thanks Jeremy for this. Piney marmalade dominates. Slick, oily palate. Not quite a West Coast IPA, but fine for an oily amber.
