Hertiage Series
This light, well-balanced amber ale has a modest hop flavour and is a malt forward ale of the highest quality. This brew’s name goes way back. Old Stock Ale in England used to be priced according to the quality and strength, so a few cents would get you a cheap ale...but a Ten Penny would get you the highest quality. Ten Penny Stock Ale was first brewed in 1934 and is a Moosehead classic.

Deep gold with a frothy, white head. Aroma has hints of pear and apple peel with cereals underneath. While nothing exceptional, this is starting off better than I expected. Taste is mildly grainy bitter the whole way through. The metallic edge at the finish is the main flaw. Medium-bodied, balanced carbonation. Drinkable.

473ml can from Rule Taproom in Moscow. Pours clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is caramel, grain. Taste is caramel, malt, earthy hop. Light bitterness in the finish. Ok macro amber ale.

This ale pours a clear yellow with a bright white foamy head. Bread dough is the strongest scent presant. Slightly grassy notes. First taste was clean and almost tastless. A slight cardboard taste to it. Pretty watery. The palate is grassy with a very small amount of hops.

Grandpa's choice, this is. I remember in university this was prime stuff. Not because it was any better than Clancy's, but because I had to go to Nova Scotia to get it, and getting the hell out of Sackville was always a special occasion my first two years.
