A clean yeast and a mix of golden promise, extra pale malt and cara-helles provide a chewy base upon which sit some big old West Coast hops. Chinook, Columbus, Centennial, Citra and Simcoe provide an inviting aroma and a lovely clean bitterness. This is a really hoppy but really nicely balanced IPA where the malt and hops, rather than the yeast, are the stars of the show.

Can at home, 01/06/19. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is orange pith, melon, grass, airy malts, pineapple. Taste comprises citric tinged straw, creamy malts, orange pith, light smoke, orange pith, pine dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with light spicy to resinous hop bitterness. Decent.

Can from Hoptimism, drunk at home. Very light yellow/gold, hazy with a bit of white head. Big hoppy aroma with pineapple, cantaloupe, orange peel, touches of coconut and spearmint. Sweet and refreshing with the gentle tug of hops giving a light balancing bitterness. Smooth body with medium carbonation. A wonderful NEIPA all around. I'd recommend this.

Can. Citra and Simcoe. Hazy gold beer, big bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light sweetish malts. Mellow soft skunk. Light smooth pine. Slightly ripe and mellow orange and grapefruit. A more savoury skunky note closes out and leaves a mild spicy linger. Smooth and drinkable but pretty much devoid of hop fruit brightness.
