Hand-pulled half-pint in The Hogshead, Wolverhampton on 4th Mar 2020. Really malty brew, deep amber body, beige topping. Looked and sniffed more interesting than it was to be honest. A bit one dimensional.

Cask at Pen & Wig. Dark brown with small cap of foamy beige head. Aroma and taste are both lightly toasted malts. Flavor is a bit weak, the body a bit thin. Simple.

8th October 2016
Sun Inn Kelvedon, Autumn Beer Fest, Cask. Clear deep red - amber beer, patchy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, some bitterish toffee. Unwelcome trace of sulphur. Ripe fruits, especially orange. Dry floralness getting bitter. Light semi dry finish. A bit awkward overall.

Cask at the Alehouse, Reading. An attractive chestnut colour with a loose cream head; earthy/nutty aroma; thin in the mouth with a caramel malt body and an earthy bitterness; then a watery malty finish. A rather disappointing autumn bitter.
