0.33 l bottle from a supermarket in Lyon. Pours hazy yellow with moderate, quite long lasting white head. Sweet citrus, banana and yeast in aroma, like a weizen-witbier hybrid. Cereal, citrus, lemon and yeast in taste. Short finisg, soft carbonation, light body. Average.

Draft @ Le Stuart, Dol de Bretagne. Pours a misty pale yellow, small white head. Aroma of zesty lemon, continues to taste alongside a hint a hint of vinegar and a lick of lemon cif perhaps .. not for me.

Belgian style witbier from this brewery, active in Bretagne since 1998. Tasted at JB's place in southern France. Thick and moussy, snow white, large-bubbled head over a misty straw blonde beer with yellowish hue. Aroma of banana, coriander seed, dried white bread, green apple, dried lemon peel, plaster, raw potato. Mildly fruity onset, banana ester with aspects of pear and apple, medium carb with light minerality, smooth and slick 'wheatiness' sourish and soapy, surrounded a bready barley core. Dried citrus peel adds freshness in the end, coriander seed adds a 'deep' but rather pronounced spiciness; soft floral hoppiness too, gently bittering. Indeed a very stereotypical witbier, like all those Hoegaarden clones we saw appearing in Belgium in especially the eighties; if the intention was to recreate this style on Breton soil, then mission accomplished.
