Bottiglia.

At home Sunday 27th September 2020 picked up from Belgiuminabox Webshop, Antwerp Belgium. Had this after a short walk of 6km near Eching, Nr Landshut, we are sat outside back home, it was glorious sun but now sun starting to drop. Listening to Lewsberg and cooking Lamb Mechoui. Pours dark brown with a light tan head, chocolate on the nose, light bitterness, cocoa powder, some dates. Really good porter, very good.

Beige dense head over near-black beer. Chocolate and liquorice, ink, plywood, dry nose. Dry, hints at black chocolate, chocolatemalt, plywood. Quite full-bodied appearance, probably more than really the case. Pretty good, if light porter, great tastewise. Thanks to Stef!

6/IV/20 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 30/IV/20, bottled: 30/IV/19 (2020-306)

Clear dark brown beer, big solid creamy beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: malty, grains, hay cow fodder, nice roast, some coffee, caramel touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice roast, pretty malty, some coffee, caramel malts, lots of dark chocolate, very nice. Aftertaste: more roast, malty, nice bitterness, some coffee, cocoa powder.

Bottle. Rather thin body and high carbonation. Rather deep roast, coffeeish, slightly burnt, also rather bitter in the balance. Hops in background, overall clean, easy drinking, tasty. Quite good.

330ml bottle. Almost black colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Chocolately and spicy, dark malty aroma, a touch of liquorice and plum. Taste is roasty, chocolately and spicy dark malty, slightly bitter hoppy, a touch of liquorice and plum, some coffee; lingering roasty finish. Minimally watery texture, smooth and soft palate.
