Bottle. An oily pour reveals a close to black beer and a small beige head. The aroma has lots of treacle and licorice, with something reminiscent of a dirty, oily workshop in the back. A light oxidation and honey in the back. It's full-bodied, intense and warming on the palate, with a low carbonation level. Sweet flavor with treacle and licorice doing most of the work, honey as backdrop and some oxidation notes. A delicious beer in many ways, but a bit messy I think. 200314

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours dark brown with very little head. Aroma dark malt, dark bread, honey, ethanol. Tastes sweet with some roasted bitterness. Medium bodied, rough.

330 ml bottle, as Kingpin Marquis Dark Braggot, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 12.5%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Small but creamy beige head. Aroma of solvent and detergent, with honey and malts in the background. Sweet and boozy flavour, notes of honey, malt sugar and molasses. Not good.

Bottle (from koht). Straight from the bottle. Aroma and flavor are boozy, sweet, grainy, lagery notes, and ton more of booze. Overall: it feels like drinking some strong alcohol mixed with splash of lager, so not a fan.
