440ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Nettstore. Shared with Finn. Proper tan-coloured head leaving clingy lacing on the glass, coal black body appearance. Prominent aromas of cocoa powder, nicely roasted. Good taste of dark bread, chocolate-cocoa, and nuts. Lingering, smoothly roasted bitter finish. Full bodied, still quite easy to drink. Delivers well. (Tromsø 16.03.2021).

Black with a beige head. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, coffee, dark malts and light licorice. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter. Light full bodied with soft carbonation carbonation. Old school and good for it!

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.5%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Distinct aroma of roast malts, notes of coffee, dark chocolate and piney hops. Roasty flavour too, with the same elements as the aroma, some sweetness which is overpowered by the roastiness and bittering hops.

18/1/2021. Can from Tesco, Martlesham Heath. Pours black with a small beige head. Lovely aroma, milk chocolate, molasses, roasted malt, liquorice, coffee and black treacle, with a hint of smoked meats and ash. Quite sweet, with a mild roasted bitterness. Smooth and full bodied, with soft carbonation. Possible just a little too sweet, but very drinkable nonetheless.

Can, present from my brother, thanks! Black with a medium brown head. Roast notes, cacao, coffee. Flavor is smooth roasted goodness, no bad astringency, nice bitter note at the end. lightly carbonated, good balance of sweet and toasted bitterness. Daaaaaaamn!

Black beer, decent tan head. Dry aroma of malt and coffee. Flavour has very toasty malt, rich coffee, creamy chocolate, a little anise and a touch of smokiness too. This is really rich and smooth, coats the inside of your mouth and has a nice savoury, smoky finish too. Lovely stuff.

So this is a fabulous stout. Pours near black with a big, frothy tan head, and liquorice and milk chocolate on the nose. The taste is a marvellous cocktail of roasted malt flavours, with chocolate and coffee to the fore, the mouthfeel is full and rich, and the finish is nicely dry and bitter
