A sumptuous double-mash stout with intense notes of dark chocolate and morello cherry. Once brewed, this beer was aged using cognac barrels to add layers of complexity and depth to the flavour.

Can from Fin, thanks! Drunk on New Year's with 2 friends. Dark dark brown with reddish brown head. Dark cherry roast malt chocolate nose, really amazing smell. Velvety smooth silky satin mouthfeel with big cherry flavor fading to chocolatey roasted notes. Awesome!

440ml can. Poured a clear black colour with a mostly lasting big frothy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and big cherries. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet, with a smooth, super rich, oily, tart cherry, chocolate, vanilla palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation. Awesome.

Can picked up from Saveur-Biere webshop Frentin nr Lille France. Had this Friday 10th December 2021 listening to Richard Dawson and Circle - Henke, we had Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas for tea tonight. Pours almost black with a tan coloured, creamy textured head. Aroma is chocolate and cherries all the way. Smooth with a thick mouthfeel, really indulgent, I like the light tartness of the morello cherries, interestingly not really getting the cognac barrel ageing. Very nice stout though.

Purple hued head left a blotchy cover on a man coloured body. Cherry, malt & boozy aroma. Full bodied, smooth, soft & oily on the tongue with a clean back. Cherry, malt, raisin, plum, jam & rich Christmas cake tastes with a lightly hopped sweet citrus finish. Tastes amazing.

Batch 725. Glossy black, slightly reddish brown head. Smell of rich cherries and chocolate liqueur. Smooth body, soft, slightly boozy. Taste is loads of cherry, sweet chocolate, subtle cognac.. but mainly cherries. Slightly out of balance and damn delish.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, a little oily looking, decent dark tan head. Smooth palate, notably viscous without ever getting thick. Decent fine carbonation. In the narrow sub genre of cherry choco Kirsch stouts... well I can't think of a better one. This delivers intensity with coherence and it's a little beaut. A very solid foundation of a remarkably on point chocolate cake and chocolate brownie. The cherry is delivered in spades, some Morello cherry and a trace of Kirsch but riding over the top is a vibrant and slightly tart cherry that offsets the chocolate malt base with aplomb. The chocolate and cherry are so dominant that the. Cognac barrel sits well back, don't think I would have spotted it if drinking blind. Perhaps a certain richness and additional complexity in the fruit towards the back end and more obvious vanilla oak note that blends well. Jeez this is a treat. Sweet and sourish done so very well. Loved every mouthful. A delight.
