Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A mostly clear straw, orange coloured pour with a speckled white head. Aroma is sour milk, vanilla, diacetyl, boke. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, vanilla cream, diacetyl, creany,. Meh. Palate is semi sweet, creany, flabby, low cask condition. Bit of a mess.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A straw coloured pour with a thin white head; some citrus aroma; rather thin and soapy in the mouth, the grapefruit taste is there, but very subtle. I was hoping for far more from this.

Cask handpull at Shakespeare Head Holborn JDW. Clear gold slight haze lasting white head. Well struggle to know what this is. Slight diacetyl? Something sweet and butter anyway. Its not very good. Struggled to finish a third of a pint

Somewhat bland, dried pale malts, bread crust, straw, crunchy grains, an accent of zesty citrus. Grassy, earthy bitter finish. OK condition.

Cask at Wheatsheaf, Stoke-on-Trent. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small scummy off-white head and good lacing. A somewhat muted aroma has traces of citrus, nuts and bran. In the mouth it is sweet with flavour dominated by grapefruit and floral hops. Also some kiwi and tropical fruit, with some sharpness and spicy hints becoming evident later. This is reasonable – better than I expected.

Can from Booths Supermarket, Media City. Hazy golden with a head. Has light grapefruit notes in its taste, perhaps a little more understated than expected given the name of the beer, but there's a little more to be found in its aroma in this respect. Citrus is quite light in here, giving a slightly pithy feel, but it's by no means a bad beer - one that's pleasant and fairly refreshing.

330ml can from Morrisons, York. Golden in colour, with a thin, white, head. Sharp grapefruit character, grassy hops, light, rich tea, mlats and a dryish finish. Good.
